Hearts of Hope Homeless Shelter

Hearts of Hope Homeless Shelter Inc, was established to play a part in ending homelessness across America, by starting in its very own community, Hardin County and eventually expending to the whole state of Kentucky.

We are an overnight shelter that houses, men, women, and children. We offer services to help them get back on their feet and pray fully stay there. We are about returning dignity to these individuals.

Without Winter, there is no Spring. Without Challenge, there is no Achievement.

A Homeless Mother and Her Child Find a Home
When winter lingers on, it’s easy to forget the joy of spring is just around the corner. When the hungry, homeless, poor and addicted come to Hearts of Hope, their heavy physical and emotional load feels insurmountable. But each day they are with us, they are one day closer to their new beginning. Hearts of Hope's kind donors and volunteers will help to provide everything they need to establish a new, independent life.
It is a joy to see men and women become productive, happy, and reunite with family, and it is especially gratifying to see mothers become better parents to their children.

We are a overnight homeless shelter, open to give a place to rest and recoup to families and individuals who have found themselves out doors with no place

Every day, the staff, board of directors, and volunteers of Hearts of Hope are hard at work putting faith into action by helping troubled people find dignity and the path to a fulfilling, productive life. We work to end hunger, homelessness, addiction and despair one person and one family at a time. We help our clients to achieve good health, stability and employment, build a bank account and afford decent housing. In accomplishing this, we heal families, help to establish safe and stable homes for children and create better communities in the state of Kentucky.

Hearts of Hope Homeless Shelter is a uniquely non-profit social service organization.
Hearts of Hope goal is to be operating several operations, a soup kitchen, food pantry, clothing pantry and education center, a youth center and a housing authority.
Hearts of Hope will be providing a wide range of services for the poor in Ky, including food, shelter, substance abuse treatment, primary medical and dental care and a variety of transitional and permanent housing options.
Additional supportive services available through Hearts of Hope will eventually include, parenting classes, play therapy, personal finance workshops, job training and placement.
Hearts of Hope will be serving hot dinners 365 days per year to the homeless and the working poor staying at the shelter.

More than 50% of Hearts of Hope funding is provided through the donations of private individuals, churches, civic groups, foundations and businesses.
Additional funding is awarded by governmental sources.

Hundreds of generous volunteers serve the poor at Hearts of Hope in a number of ways, including helping with fundraisers, banquets, outreach services and providing in-kind services, and conducting a wide variety of vital fund raising programs.

FUTURE
Hearts of Hope is where " No One Should Be Left Outside", because we strive to provide all the services required, and for the length of time necessary, to create a positive change in an individual's life. To this end, and with the faith and gracious donations of our supporters, we will continue to evaluate how we can best help the poor in Kentucky achieve self-sustaining and permanent stability. For instance, we now have a company willing to hire different ones that are staying at our shelter due to homelessness.

*Recent statistics are hard to come by, but there’s probably little reason to suspect this 1999 statistic about homeless children under the age of six has changed. In fact, given how bad it is now compared to the late 90’s and the recent rise in the n
